We must rally behind the new management committee and technical team of the Black Stars – Kwesi Nyantakyi

Former Ghana Football Association member Kwesi Nyantakyi says the new Black Stars technical and management team deserve an outpouring of support from everyone.

Earlier this week, the Kurt Okraku-led administration reacted to Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations by upsetting the coaching department.

Serbian Milovan Rajevac was dismissed shortly after the team’s first-round elimination and ex-international Otto Addo was named as a stopgap for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Nigeria.

The current Borussia Dortmund assistant is surrounded by assistants Mas-Ud Dramani and George Boateng.

Chris Hughton was also brought in for both matches as a technical adviser.

Ghana FA Vice-Chairman Mark Addo takes over as Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee.

The other members are Kwasi Agyemang – Vice President, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Kwame Ofosu Bamfo, former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, Col. Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd.) and Alhaji Karim Grusah.

”We have just reconstituted a new technical team and a new management committee. If each of us were asked to suggest who should be on the technical team or the management team, I’m sure we’d have different people who would be on it,’ Nyantakyi said during his GTV appearance. Sports More.

”But the people who have the power, the prerogative to make the appointment, made the appointment rightly or wrongly.

“Right now, as citizens of our country, it’s incumbent on all of us to join them, spiritually, morally – whatever we can do to support this team.”
