The department and purpose of the role:

Based in the Global Division, Recruitment and Admissions brings together a number of teams providing services in widening attendance, events, application management, CRM, data analysis and forecasting, projects and compliance and admissions. It provides an essential service to the University by ensuring its financial viability and ensuring student growth and increasing diversity in line with strategic goals and targets. We are the public face of the University in schools and colleges across the UK, through our contact with prospects, applicants and candidates across the world and through our events programme. The team includes a range of professionals from a number of specialties including administrators, decision makers, data analysts and forecasters, IT specialists, designers and marketers, project managers events and recruiters. All services are based at the Palatine Center or the Mountjoy Center in Durham City.

Access and Engagement is part of the broader office of Recruitment and Admissions. Access and Engagement aims to inspire, educate, motivate and support the choices of traditionally underrepresented young people in college, and Durham University in particular. The Associate Access and Engagement Manager will provide support in managing the access and engagement activities carried out by the team. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and deputizing the Access and Engagement Managers in the implementation of broadening participation strategies and in meeting the requirements of the access and participation plan of the University.
