Spence promoted to assistant manager of Meyer Freight – The Royal Gazette

The Meyer Group of Companies has promoted Konika Spence to Assistant Manager of Meyer Freight Ltd.
Ms Spence has been with the Meyer team for six years and has 18 years of experience in the shipping industry, the company said.
In this role, she will support the Division Vice President and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office.
Cheryl Hayward-Chew, President and CEO of the Meyer Group of Companies, said, “Konika is an integral part of the Meyer Freight team, consistently demonstrating a high level of integrity and skill. I can’t wait for Konika to expand her role as the new Deputy Director.
George Butterfield, Vice President of Meyer Freight, said, “Konika has always shown initiative in the performance of her duties, often going above and beyond what is expected of her.
“She is a natural leader and is dedicated to the task at hand. Shipping is constantly evolving and its willingness to learn and grow in times of change is a strong asset.

Meyer Freight Ltd represents two of Bermuda’s regular freight carriers, the Bermuda Islander with weekly service from Salem, New Jersey, and the Somers Isles service from Fernandina Beach, Florida.
