Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for African Affairs Chidi Blyden and General Kais Djenidi co-chaired the United States-Algeria Joint Military Dialogue on March 14-15, 2022 in Algiers, Algeria.

The event was organized by the Algerian Ministry of Defense and the United States Embassy in Algiers. This is the 10th military dialogue between the United States and Algeria and the talks reaffirmed the commitment of the United States and Algeria to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and work together on security. regionally with African partners.

The joint military dialogue involved discussions on regional conflict and security, the fight against terrorism, and the prospects for deepening defense cooperation between the United States and Algeria. The two countries will work on an action plan that defines the direction, timetable and objectives of the US-Algerian security relationship.
