You will be responsible for leading and driving talent acquisition (TA)/recruitment and employer branding efforts for SUSS to attract quality talent to meet the university’s hiring needs. In order to maintain a strong candidate pipeline, you need to take a proactive, multi-pronged talent acquisition approach to attracting and recruiting strong talent.

Main responsibilities

  • Provides oversight, direction, and training to Technical Support team members regarding recruitment processes, systems, time-to-hire, market information, platforms, and sourcing methods for different roles and talent segments
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle of recruitment services, including job posting, candidate sourcing via social media, networking and referrals, interview and selection processes, offer management , process documentation, compliance management and status communication with candidates and hiring managers
  • Consults with and supports hiring managers to determine recruitment and candidate sourcing strategy, establish priorities, strategies and metrics to ensure alignment with achievement of business/functional objectives and technical assistance
  • Leverages multiple recruiting sources and techniques to identify and engage active and passive candidates, including LinkedIn, search engines, niche job boards, social media, user groups, and blogs
  • Optimize the use of existing ATS in the HR system, suggest process improvements and analytical capabilities to achieve efficiencies in recruitment activities
  • Improves work effectiveness of TAs by reviewing and initiating relevant changes to talent acquisition programs, systems and policies
  • Associates and supports internal departments on workforce planning and utilization to meet changing operations and strategic needs of the university
  • Develops and implements social media recruitment and employer branding strategies and activities to attract high quality talent
  • Undertakes and leads a variety of technical assistance projects, including strategic and operational work

Job requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent in a related field
  • Have at least 6 years of relevant work experience in HR, particularly in the field of talent search, acquisition and operations
  • Sourcing experience in traditional and non-traditional sources like databases, networks, job boards, social media, online forums, blogs, etc.
  • Experience in executing recruitment and social media branding activities on LinkedIn
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency and experience in using applicant tracking systems
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and online recruitment strategy
