Purpose of the position

The incumbent works with NiFT faculty and management to assess areas of need, identify potential donors, and represent the center by presenting the proposal and ideas to potential donors, with the goal of securing philanthropic support.

The post holder reports to the Center Manager, NiFT, to engage the local and global Fintech community and secure philanthropic resources to help NiFT provide high quality research, public education and policy advocacy for inclusivity in the sector. Fintech for the benefit of society. The main role is to develop business relationships and raise funds for the center.

Responsibilities Specific responsibility

  • Fundraising: fundraising, acquisition, cultivation and stewardship
    • Develop a donor engagement strategy; including mapping touchpoints, preparing proposals and scheduling meetings between NiFT faculty and donors

  • Business development and data management
    • Develop NiFT’s network with the Fintech community with the aim of obtaining philanthropic support
    • Evaluate donors and predict donation potential, using existing data points (donation amount, financial and biographical information)
    • Manage and update contact database

General responsibilities

  • Administration
    • Manage fundraising processes, policies and procedures, timelines, goals and objectives related to job responsibilities
    • Collaborate with ADV to ensure due diligence in the fundraising process
    • Other necessary internal supports and tasks as needed

Job requirements Training/Experience

  • Existing relationship with a large network of Fintech companies and high net worth individuals in the Fintech sector
  • Fundraising experience; preference for fintech-related fundraising
  • Possess strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a database of donors
  • Ability to work with different stakeholders to align with SUSS strategic direction and goals
  • Proficiency in reading/writing/speaking in another Asian language

Academic background

  • Recognized degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a management position
